Good Samaritans yesterday made massive donations to the Limpopo baby who was born without limbs.
Several donors opened their hearts and wallets and raised R25000 for baby Kamogelo's welfare.
The baby's mother, Nthabiseng Mabetha, 27, a former beauty queen, was positively overwhelmed at hearing the news. She gave birth to baby Kamogelo last week.
Maeteko Funeral Services and Mora Funeral Services in Bolobedu donated a combined R25000 for Kamogelo.
Maeteko, the main sponsors, gave a cheque for R15000 while Mora donated R10000.
Maeteko will also deliver food, clothing and bedding for the baby, while Mora will contribute R1000 every month to help the baby with food and other necessities. A trust fund was opened in Tzaneen.
At the time of going to press, details about the trust fund were not yet available.
Speaking on behalf of the two funeral undertakers, Nakampe Isaac Moshole said they had learnt about the baby's plight in Sowetan and felt they should come to the mother's rescue.
Prominent Limpopo doctor Eva Lebelo said the child could only be fitted with artificial limbs after two years.
