Amabinneplaas are back from a week-long tour to Lesotho where they won two international friendlies against Likoena.

The South African development national soccer team beat Lesotho 1-0 and 3-0 last Wednesday and Sunday in Maseru.

Mabaso Yende scored the only goal in the first game. Reason Chiloane, Daylon Claasen and Ramahlwe Mphahlele scored a goal apiece in the second game.

Amabinneplaas were using the tour as part of their preparations for the Cosafa Cup in Mpumalanga later this month.

The team was formed by Safa after the Confederation of African Football launched the African Nations Championships this year.

Serame "Rhee" Letsoaka, Amajita coach, was appointed to also guide Amabinneplaas.

"I was delighted with the performance of the team in Lesotho, we are well on track in our preparations for the Cosafa Cup," he said.

"The plan is to organise more games for the team so those boys will be ready when they get a call-up to Bafana Bafana later."

This week, Letsoaka is in Johannesburg with Amajita who are leaving for Reunion tomorrow. The two countries played to a 1-all draw in their first leg of their 2009 Africa Youth Championships qualifiers in Pretoria two weeks ago.
