South African National Amateur Boxing Organisation (Sanabo) will hold an amateur boxing development tournament in Polokwane, starting today.
Aspiring fighters will be involved in the South African senior amateur championships at Nirvana Hall.
Participants will be weighed in today and the draw is scheduled to last until Saturday.
"This tournament's mission is to select a national team and also to prepare for the 2011 Olympics," said veteran mentor Eric Baloyi, president of the Limpopo Boxing Organisation.
Baloyi is also the father of six-time world champion and current IBF junior lightweight holder, Cassius "Shy Guy" Baloyi.
