Zuma delaying his court case

The nation must applaud the Mauritius court for rejecting a request by Jacob Zuma to oppose the NPA's request to get Alain Thetard's diary which confirms a meeting between Zuma, himself and Schabir Shaik.

The nation must applaud the Mauritius court for rejecting a request by Jacob Zuma to oppose the NPA's request to get Alain Thetard's diary which confirms a meeting between Zuma, himself and Schabir Shaik.

Zuma travelled about 4000km to request the Mauritian prime minister to exert pressure on judges to rule in his favour.

Judge John Hlophe's alleged canvassing of the Concourt judges is more or less similar to what Zuma was trying to do with the judiciary in Mauritius. Why would Thint all of a sudden pledge to fund the ANC conference in KwaZulu-Natal, and Senzo Mchunu, a Zuma backer, sees no political problem with such funding?

Zuma's lawyers have indicated that they will appeal. They do so because the state funds Zuma's legal expenses and to the lawyers it is business. It is also in Zuma's interest to delay the case. Had Zuma not lodged appeal after appeal, the case would have resumed early last year.

Unfortunately ANC members do not understand that there is a lot that Zuma is hiding. Why would he be concerned about a diary that is not his? When the DA asked him if he had ever met Thetard, he said he had not.

Zuma, the ball is in your court, do not delay your day in court.
