The environmental show 50/50 is back on SABC2 on Mondays at 7.30pm.

Now 24 years old, the show blends familiar elements of the old with an invigorating injection of the new.

Chrizelda de Vos, SABC2 brand manager, says: "We trust that the new-look show will still appeal to our loyal viewers and also attract new and younger viewers."

The title reflects its focus on striking a balance between humankind and nature. It has proved a powerful and influential tool in highlighting conservation issues objectively, and won a host of awards along the way.

Johann Botha co-anchors 50/50 with Stacey Koma. Ntokozo Mbuli presents the Eco Flash segment, Quinton Coetzee the Veld Focus segment, and there are three field presenters.

Topics include global warming, alternative energy, water shortages, wildlife conservation, natural heritage, the impact of development on the environment and urban greening.
