Noose tightens on firm

The Department of Trade and Industry will clamp down on a Cape Town company that has been accused of taking its customers for a ride for years.

Zhaun's Business Opportunity & Engineering Group has been accused of selling faulty nappy-making machines and refusing to refund unhappy customers.

The department has issued a general notice in the Government Gazette encouraging aggrieved consumers to lodge their complaints at its offices.

Klaas Mokaba, of the department's consumer affairs committee in Pretoria, said written representations regarding the investigations into Zhaun's should be submitted within the next 15 days.

Submissions should be sent to Consumer Affairs Committee, Private Bag X84, Pretoria.
