Silindokuhle High School from KwaZulu-Natal became the last school to secure qualification to the finals of the Kay Motsepe Cup national championship.

The final of this celebrated event will be held in Mamelodi from July 9 to 12.

Silindokuhle's road to the national championships was made easier by Ilanga, who kicked out provincial favourites Mehlokazulu in the semifinal.

Silindokuhle beat Ezibukweni 2-1 before they faced Ilanga in a highly contested match.

Silindokuhle ran out 1-0 victors after the match went into extra time after a goalless draw.

"We are confident that Silindokuhle will represent the province well at the national championship.

"The Kwa-Zulu Natal school will join its counterparts from other provinces in the national championship," provincial cup coordinator Sbusiso Mavimbela said yesterday

Silindokuhle will join Ntabankulu from Eastern Cape, Sozama from Mpumalanga, Cloetesville from Western Cape, SA van Wyk from Northern Cape, Michael Modisakeng from North West, Tshikanoshi from Limpopo, Meadowlands from Gauteng and Harmony from Free State in the national final.
