The MDC under the leadership of Morgan Tsvangirai has taken the decision to withdraw from the run-off election because it does not make sense to compete with somebody who continuously threatens his opponents with violence.
The only solution to Zimbabwe's dilemma is the effective intervention of the SADC and African Union. They should bring the warring parties to the table so that they can discuss the possibility of a transitional government.
As for Robert Mugabe and his cabal, they should be hauled before the International Court of Justice just like Charles Taylor and the late Slobodan Milosevic so that they can answer for atrocities that they continue to commit.
I am afraid time is running out and if the problem is not resolved we will witness civil war just like in the Great Lakes region.
