Amajita look set to start the 2009 Africa Youth Championships qualifiers with a big bang by demolishing Reunion at the Caledonian Stadium at 3pm tomorrow.

Serame Letsoaka, coach of the national Under-20 soccer side, took the players through their paces this week, perfecting their finishing.

"We need to score goals, lots of goals, to be on the safe side when we travel to Reunion during the second leg match in two weeks' time," said Letsoaka.

"First impressions last longer, we have to win the match comprehensively to convince South Africans that we have assembled a team that will make them proud."

Letsoaka has an advantage over the Indian Ocean islanders after watching them in their game against Mozambique in the preliminary round in April.

"We have a clear picture of what to expect. We have no reason why we should not win the match, unless our players decide to make things difficult for themselves."

Letsoaka said their plan was not only to reach the finals in Rwanda, but also to do well in the World Youth Championships in Egypt.

Jean Rollin, the visitors' head of delegation, said they were not in South Africa on holiday.

"We are excited to be in the country that will host the 2010 World Cup finals. Our coach [Jacque Adeler] has assembled a wonderful squad," he said.
