The Free State will be taking part in this year's Grahamstown National Arts Festival, which kicks off on Thursday.

The participation of the five groups and individual artists has been made possible through the partnership established with the Free State Youth Arts Council and the Free State department of sport, arts and culture.

The five productions have been selected from all five districts of the province and the artists that will take part in the festival numbers 50.

The artists involved in this festival have been hosted by the Performing Arts Council of the Free State for the past two weeks for rehearsals and mentoring.

The following productions will be represented by these artists: Sebenzile Theatre Group - Xariep; Tomorrow Nations -Lejweleputswa; Riverside Theatre Group - Thabo Mofutsanyana; Archimota Theatre Production - Fezile Dabi; and Creations Coalitions - Motheo.
