Angelo Sebastian, winner of the regional final of the Duke of Edinburgh Cup will fly out of the country in October to take part in the Individual World Final and World Pairs competition at the famed Berkshire and Wentworth golf courses.

The South African winner will also take part in a special invitation tournament at the Royal Household Club at Windsor Castle, followed by a royal champagne reception and prize-giving dinner at Windsor Castle, where he will have the once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet and dine with members of the British royal family.

"I'm ecstatic. I'm over the moon. I did not know that one day I would win this prestigious trophy.

"I thank my family and everyone who was behind me and I hope to do well in the UK," he said.

The amateur golf tournament which sports the most prestigious and sought-after prize - the Duke of Edinburgh Cup - teed off in April at venues around the country.

This is a unique opportunity to play on three of the world's most prestigious courses - the Royal Ascot Golf Club, the Wentworth Golf Club, and the Queen's private golf course in England, with all expenses paid.

The opportunity to rub shoulders with British royalty can only be won by entering one of the regional semifinals in the Duke of Edinburgh Cup.

The Gauteng regional semifinal and the final shootout of this event took place recently at Pecanwood Golf Estate, and was hosted by Monte Casino.
