Kelly Rowland, who replaced the Backstreet Boys at the last minute for the annual Positive Rocks fundraiser in Sun City, had the pumping crowd eating out of the palm of her hand on Friday night.

She pranced around in beautiful and often skimpy outfits and, after she belted out the mega hit Dilemma as she hit the stage, there was no doubting her star status.

Then she launched into more hits, jumped into Destiny's Child's proven repertoire and the crowd cooked.

It simply boiled over when she let rip with Work, the Free Masons' remix, and Survivor.

Marcus Hernandez also proved to be a stunning entertainer as he strummed his guitar.

He's a beautiful musician with a heart of gold.

Only he could leave a piece of himself with the patients of the Tapologo Hospice in Rustenburg after spending quality time with them earlier in the day - and playing some inspirational lyrics for them.

Positive Rocks was dedica ted to fashion by New York-based Marc Bouwer and local designers .

Performances were by HHP, Danny K, In-Cha, Gang of Instrumentals, Lira, the Parletones, Louise Carver and Ed Jordan.
