Next month is the turn of Joyous Celebration fans in North West to have fun at the Sun City Superbowl.

This leg of the touring ensemble will take place on July 5 in the North West resort on the fourth stop on the 2008 Joyous Celebration tour.

It follows the successful launch of the tour over the Easter weekend at the State Theatre in Pretoria, then the second stop in the Eastern Cape over the long weekend in May at East London's Christian Centre and the electrifying, emotionally uplifting and sold-out performance on May 31 at the ICC Arena in Durban.

Joyous Celebration dedicated the Durban show to the late Vuyo Mokoena who was like a brother and mentor to this award-winning gospel group.

Vuyo performed often with Joyous Celebration over the past seven years. His joyful and energetic performance and personality will be missed by all.

Joyous Celebration made history some years ago as the first local production to be invited to stage a show at the Sun City Superbowl.

It coincided with the group's 10th anniversary as well as the recording of their 11th CD and DVD.

Joyous Celebration is back at the Sun City Superbowl again this year to wow their supporters with their much-loved inspirational music extravaganza.

Fans will be in for a treat on Saturday, July 5 at Sun City's Superbowl.

True to their trendsetting nature, the Easter Tour launch coincided with the launch and release of Joyous 12, a double album, making the gospel stars, the first South African gospel group to go down this road.

"We at the Joyous Celebration Foundation believe that Joyous 12 goes back to the core of what made Joyous the platinum award-winning inspirational music extravaganza it is today," says Lindelani Mkhize, founding member, producer and conductor. Jabu Hlongwane, founding member and spokesman, echoes his sentiments.

"This double album is for our fans who have demanded it for so long - we could never put all the show songs on to one CD and the implications of a double CD were risky but now the timing is just right.

"The double album is a tribute to all our fans for their 12 years of unwavering support," says Mthunzi Namba founding member and music director.

The Joyous Celebration 12 DVD will be released later this month.

"Our partnership with Joyous Celebration allows our clients to invest in their spiritual growth," says Lebohang Mkhize, marketing executive for Old Mutual.

"Through this sponsorship we believe we are able to be part of family support service and wellness areas.

"Join us before the show at the wellness area for personal advice on health, legal and financial matters, as well as meet with your favourite Joyous Celebration artists."
