A safe place

A child is a treasure to every parent.

A child is a treasure to every parent.

It is a gift parents would not like to part with or share with anyone.

That is why Justine Banda of Orlando West, Soweto, is so devastated by the mysterious death of her two-year-old daughter at a local creche.

Worsening matters is the creche management's dodgy attitude and contradictory statements in trying to cover up the child's death.

Creches are expected to be safe places where kids can learn, play and be fed while their parents are at work.

Those who are unable to provide these basic facilities safely must be exposed and shut down.
