Music at indoor and intimate venues in and around Johannesburg will thrill many showbiz lovers this weekend.

Whether you are into jazz, kwaito or R&B, there is music galore for everyone. It all starts on Friday at the Birchwood Hotel in Boksburg where Letta Mbulu and new artist Aya will perform.

Those fans who wanted to enjoy the music and glitz and glamour at the South African Music Awards (Samas) at Sun City in May but could not, now have another opportunity to do so.

Some of the top musicians who were honoured at the Samas will be performing at Bassline in Newtown, Johannesburg.

The line-up includes Brickz, who won an award in the Best Kwaito Album category, KB, who won Best Urban Pop, Loyiso, who walked away with the Best R&B/Neo Soul Album, and DJ Cleo, who is renowned for rocking the dance scene, and was rewarded with the Best Urban Dance Album.

DJ Sai will be there to entertain the crowd.

The entertainment continues on Saturday for jazz fans. One of the most recognisable and authoritative jazz artist in the country, Kunle Ayo, will give his best at Barrington at the Killarney Mall in Johannesburg. The last time he was there, those who attended the event say that he was to die for.

It certainly was a memorable event and that is why concert organiser Mandla Baloyi is bringing Ayo back.
