The Butityi Konki Schools Rugby League's high school fixtures set for today have been cancelled due to half-yearly examinations.

Munaneakile Yamile, tournament organising secretary, said the committee accepted the request from the schools to cancel the games because of the examinations.

"We wanted to afford students enough time to prepare for the examinations and the programme will continue in July," said Yamile.

But he pointed out that the primary fixtures will go on as scheduled today in Uitenhage, starting at noon.

Yamile added that several teams have shown a lot of improvement after a poor showing at the start of the inaugural tournament.

Log leaders Solomon High School still lead the pack with 24 points from five games. They thrashed Tinara 29-0 last week to stretch their unbeaten run.

Molly Blackburn secured second spot with a 10-0 victory over Thanduxolo in a close match.
