The new Lesotho coach has expressed disappointment that the air traffic strike in Gabon made it impossible for Likoena to honour their opening 2010 World Cup/Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match in Libreville on Saturday.
Likoena's players and officials were stuck in transit at OR Tambo International Airport in for three days as a result of the strike, which ended on Thursday.
Fifa, the world governing body and Confederation of African Football will meet sometime this week to make a ruling on the match, but it looks set they will order a replay.
Serbian Zavisa Milosavljevic, said: "This is disappointing and frustrating, especially for the players. We were informed that the flight had been cancelled, our federation will write a letter to Fifa to inform them about our problems."
Likoena are expected back in South Africa tomorrow or Wednesday for their first home game against Ghana at Seisa Ramabodu Stadium in Bloemfontein this weekend.
The Lesotho Football Association has asked Safa to allow Likoena to play their home games in Mangaung because Setsoto Stadium in Maseru is being renovated for the World Cup.
