Seven people were arrested yesterday after residents from Sekuruwe in Limpopo protested against Anglo Platinum removing graves.

Spokesman Captain Sebogsero Motavi said protests started early yesterday when Anglo Platinum's contractors came to remove the graves for reburial. The land has been bought by the company.

Head of corporate communications at Anglo Platinum, Simon Tebele, said the company had received permission from the next-of-kin to remove the 82 graves. - Sapa
