Botswana international Mogogi Gabonamong ended the season on a high by clinching Santos' player of the season award at a ceremony in Cape Town on Tuesday.

Gabonamong was thrilled with the award and promised that Santos, after finishing third, will definitely go for the league title next season.

Players' player of the season was Wayne Arendse, top goal scorer, Erwin Isaacs; sportsman of the season, Eleazar Rodgers; the chairman's award, Musa Otieno; rookie of the season, Tawonga Chimodzi and most promising player, Bevan Fransch.

Irvin Khoza, Premier Soccer League chairman, was the guest speaker.

l Stanley "Bingo" Kgatla was named Platinum Stars' player of the season.

Edward Williams won the players' player of the season, Simba Marumo, top goal scorer and Tshepo Ramokala, most improved player of the season.
