Vasco da Gama and Matatiele Professionals are through to the semifinals of the national Vodacom playoffs after winning their respective groups at Ikageng Stadium in Potchefstroom yesterday.
Da Gama became the overall winners of the Coastal Group C after walloping Bush Bucks 4-0 in a one-sided encounter in their last game with goals scored by Leonard Casner (5th minute), Keenin Lesch (48th), Laurel Brown (82nd) and and own goal by Mahashe Mzwanele in the 83rd minute.
Professionals, narrowly beat Island FC 1-0 in an entertaining match, striker Zamekile Nyangule's beauty in the 69th minute sealing top spot in Coastal Group D .
The winners in the Inland A and B groups will be decided today when teams complete their last fixtures.
The semifinals will be played tomorrow with Da Gama coming up against Professionals at 1pm while the Inland Stream winners meet each other in the second semi at 3pm.
Results: Mafube 3, Barberton 2; City of Matlosana 2, M Tigers 1; Rangers 9, William Pescod 0; Mr Price Park 2, Louisville Pirates 0; Carara Kicks 2, Batau 0.
