Seleteng Giant Killers softball club hope to close the gap between them and log leaders Mahwelereng Spikes to three points this weekend.

Killers trail Spikes by nine points in the Limpopo Softball Association's LimDev Super League, with two matches in hand.

Four league matches are billed for Mamaolo diamonds in GaMphahele on Sunday.

GaMphahlele-based Killers will wave goodbye to bottom of the log Mashite Eagles in their opening match at 10am. The match will be Eagles' last match in the elite league, as they are already relegated.

Killers' next assignment will be a replay against the off-form Lebowakgomo Wild Beasts five hours later. The match was postponed three weeks ago due to poor lights at Lebowakgomo stadium.

Killers, who are on the rampage, will need to beat Spikes by more than three runs in the last match on May 31 at Seshego diamonds.

"We will use the weekend matches as a practice for our main match of the season against Spikes who tarnished our image in the first round," Jimmy Ngobeni, Killers' spokesman, told Sowetan.

Fixtures:

Eagles v Killers (10am); University of Limpopo (UL) v Sharks (10am); Rebels v UL (12pm); Killers v Wild Beasts (3pm).
