The lady of song, Tamara Dey, has handed over her glamorous role in the very successful Rocky Horror Show, which is playing to full houses in Johannesburg.

As the show celebrates its 100th performance tomorrow at the Victory Theatre in Orange Grove, Dey is handing over her role as the French maid at the Frankenstein Place over to Dominique Pacault as part of two cast changes.

Pacault will now be playing Magenta in the popular musical - which has had its season extended for a second time because of overwhelming public demand.

Dey has to leave because of prior commitments. Also joining the cast is Tshepiso Mashego who will be taking over the role of Columbia from Dolly Louw.

The dynamic Rocky Horror Show cast includes the brilliant Brendan van Rhyn as Frank-N-Furter, Ryan Flynn as Brad and Lyall Ramsden as Riff Raff. Other popular theatre names include Mark Richardson (Dr Scott) and Neville Thomas (Narrator) in the largest ever cast to perform the classic on a South African stage.

Director Maralin Vanrenen has cleverly introduced a new and exciting concept while remaining true to the essence of the original play.

The renovated Victory Theatre boasts four levels of secure on-site parking, at R10 a vehicle, and an indoor and outdoor a la carte restaurant that can seat 460 people. This is the same capacity as the theatre, which makes it perfect for corporate events.

For those Rocky Horror fans who want to party, there are three bars, including a music bar separate from the restaurant, that will keep them rocking until late.

The best access to the Victory Theatre from the north is on the M1. Take the Riviera off-ramp and drive along 1st Avenue in Houghton and at the T-junction at Louis Botha, turn left and the Victory Theatre and secure parking is 150m down the road on the left, just after the BP garage.

And, if you are one of the many fans coming from the south of Johannesburg, take the 1st Avenue Houghton turn off.
