Ten heavily-armed men pretending to be prospective clients inquiring about loans, robbed Nedbank in Randfontein yesterday.
They held the manager at gunpoint and forced him to lead them to the bank's vaults.
An undisclosed amount of money was taken during the fracas, but no one was injured as no shots were fired.
Police communication officer Captain Joseph Magoai said the robbery happened at about 12.30pm. The robbers later sped off in two cars. - Tilo Setlhare
