Several celebrities said "I do" over the long weekend.

TV personality Mpho Tsedu, who presents African Perspective on SABC2, and his long-time girlfriend Mbali Radebe, finally said "I do" in front of friends and family at the Dube Methodist Church, Soweto, on Saturday.

Johnny Ontverwacht, former City Press photographer, also said "I do" to his beautiful wife Nhlanhla Buthelezi.

Tsedu, son of City Press editor-in-chief, Mathatha Tsedu, paid ilobolo for Radebe in February.

It is alleged that Tsedu paid R150000 ilobolofor his lovely bride in a traditional ceremony.

"In my world two months is a long time to wait but it has finally happened. I am happy," he said.

Tsedu, dubbed the hunk of Limpopo, said he wanted their guests to have a good time.

"There was entertainment, food and drinks for all," he added.

Tsedu and Radebe were introduced to each other in September 2000 by the late Lindiwe Cibi who played Doobsie in Muvhango.

Kwaito singer and producer Mdu Masilela played the wedding song during the ceremony.

Other artists like Elle, Queen Sesoko, Mahumela Mahuwa who plays Susan in Muvhango, Colbert Mukwevho and Barorisi ba Morena also attended the ceremony and sang for the guests.

Tsedu said he did not really remember the date he met his wife but knows that it was on a Sunday.

"All I know is that it was a Sunday afternoon and we were hooked up by my late friend Lindiwe," Tsedu said.

He said Cibi would always occupy a special place in their hearts.

"Unfortunately she was not here to witness our union, but I know that she would have been very happy to see us married," Tsedu added.
