Lamontville Golden Arrows are hungry for a win against Kaizer Chiefs on home soil tomorrow to move a step closer to realising their dream of a top four finish.
The potentially exciting Absa Premiership match takes place at Chatsworth Stadium at 3pm.
Abafana Bes'thende are fourth on the log with 39 points from 26 games, while the once feared Amakhosi are 11th on 34 points from the same number of games.
While Arrows may also end up qualifying for the MTN Confederations Cup if they finish third on the table, Chiefs are desperate to end inside the top eight - the "million-rand bracket" where all teams will get no less than a R1 million rand each.
This is a huge incentive for clubs, especially in the absence of the usual top eight knockout competition.
"We need to win. The plan is to finish the season on a more respectable position," said Manqoba Mnqithi, Arrows' coach.
Mnqithi is hoping his charges will make amends after their uninspiring display against goal-shy Jomo Cosmos in Orkney on Sunday.
Kagisho Dikgacoi, Arrows' captain, said: "You don't need any further motivation against Chiefs, we are going all out for win."
l Orlando Pirates, who run the risk of finishing way outside the top eight bracket, entertain Platinum Stars at Johannesburg Stadium tomorrow at 7.30pm.
Pressure is mounting for Pirates, who have been too generous in donating points since the start of the second round, to start winning.
Ninth-placed Pirates are keeping their fingers crossed for Teko Modise and Bennet Chenene to be declared fit for tomorrow's game. They were taken to hospital in Cape Town after sustaining injuries against Ajax, but the medical team will make a final ruling on their fitness in the morning.
Stars, lying sixth on the table, will also be out to get yet another credible win (after downing Al Ahly), to move into the top five bracket.
