Three Mpumalanga pupils could be expelled from school after they allegedly pinned down a 15-year-old schoolmate and filmed her private parts with a camera phone on Friday.
The three boys were suspended immediately after their victim reported the incident to the principal at the Cebisa High School in Ermelo just after school broke up for the weekend.
The boys, aged between 15 and 18, allegedly cornered the girl as she was leaving school and took her to a back room on the premises.
They allegedly forced her to take off her panties. Two held her against the wall, while the third filmed her private parts with a cellphone.
It was not clear yesterday what the boys intended to do with the film.
The principal has written to provincial department of education head Ray Tywakadi recommending that the boys be expelled.
Departmental spokesman Hlahla Ngwenya said the girl reported the matter to the school principal who took it up with the school governing body.
"The boys were charged with misconduct and appeared before a disciplinary hearing in the presence of their parents," Ngwenya said.
"They were suspended pending a decision by Tywakadi."
Ngwenya could not say for how long the boys might be suspended pending the findings of the investigation.
A case of attempted rape was also reported to the police by the school.
