R&B star Alicia Keys has blamed the US government for the deaths of Tupac Shaku and the Notorious BIG.
The singer has lifted the lid on her political views and conspiracy theories in a new interview for US music magazine Blender.
She claimed the rappers' slayings were fuelled by "the government and the media, to stop another great black leader from existing".
Keys, 27, also claimed that the gangsta rap movement never existed, but was created "as a ploy to encourage black people to kill each other". She also revealed her interest in the Black Panther movement - and her desire to write more political songs. -Wenn
