Inspector Gerda Swart said the man was waiting in Tarentaal Street for transport to work around 7am when he was approached by the teenagers, who are aged 17 and 18.
The two threatened him with knives and a fight broke out, Swart said.
The man was stabbed and he ran into a nearby yard for assistance.
But he collapsed in the garden and died.
The teenagers were arrested and will appear in court tomorrow. - Sapa
