A trial date for the indecent assault case against suspended Mamelodi Sundowns marketing boss Alex Shakoane has been set for July 18.
"Mr Gold Fingers" appeared upbeat yesterday, chatting freely to reporters outside the GaRankuwa magistrates' court.
"At least I now know I will have my day in court," Shakoane said. " I think the trial will expose some faceless people who want to see my downfall."
Shakoane is alleged to have indecently assaulted the 15-yearold daughter of a colleague at Sundowns.
The incident allegedly took place outside the Morula Sun Casino in Mabopane, Pretoria, on October 7 last year.
At his previous appearance the prosecution said they had a record of 300 cellphone conversations between him and the girl.
"My detractors are disappointed that the charge could not be changed to that of rape," Shakoane said.
"The DNA results have exonerated me from any possibility of being charged with rape."
The case will be heard by Magistrate Oupa Moeketsi.
