A 45-year-old epileptic who went missing during Pastor Chris Oyakhilome's Night of Bliss service two weeks ago, has been found.

Tukela Patrick Kali had been admitted to the Helen Joseph Hospital, from which he was discharged on Wednesday.

Kali, of Queenstown in the Eastern Cape, disappeared at about 7pm from the Johannesburg Stadium where Pastor Chris, as Oyakhilome is known to his followers, hosted an all-night prayer meeting.

Kali was taken to the hospital by paramedics who found him unconscious after he apparently suffered a fit in Auckland Park.

"Thank you Sowetan for the great job you did," said his mother Nomakosazana Kali, referring to an earlier Sowetan report about the family's plight. "Thank you for the support you have given us."

Nomakosazana told Sowetan she was surprised that her son was able to give medical staff his name and residential address in Queenstown.

"I am glad that he remembered where he lives," she said. "The nurses acted promptly and contacted the police in Queenstown, They went to our home to verify the address.

"I am happy that he has been found and is unharmed."

Kali travelled with his mother and a group of other people to attend the "healing" session.

The family was particularly worried because his condition can deteroprate if he does not take his medication regularly.

He was staying at his sister Nothembu Siloti's house in Centurion on his visit to Gauteng.

Kali is a trained teacher by profession and taught at a primary school for about seven years.

He stopped working after being diagnosed with epilepsy in 1989.
