A 28-year-old man wept yesterday when he described to the Randburg magistrates' court how Somizi Mhlongo fiddled with his private parts and demanded to have sex with him.
Celani Njapha of Diepsloot told the magistrate, Hombakazi Thwele, that he tried several times to stop Mhlongo but he was ignored.
"He told me that he was gay and interested in making love to me," said Njapha.
Mhlongo, a choreographer and actor, is alleged to have indecently assaulted Njapha after he gave him a lift home last year.
He was arrested in November and is out on R2000 bail.
Njapha said when he was in the car and had recognised the celebrity, he asked for Mhlongo's autograph and contact numbers.
He said Mhlongo agreed and invited him to his home, where he offered him Jack Daniel's and apple juice to drink.
"While we were sitting on the couch, he started touching my chest and my private parts," he said.
Mhlongo, who was wearing a grey shirt, grey pants with pink stripes and a pink belt with the words "Fuckin Criminal"printed on it, sat calmly in the dock.
Njapha said Mhlongo only stopped after he threatened to break furniture and assault him with a bottle.
He said when Mhlongo finally agreed to take him home, he (Mhlongo) tried to calm him down, saying that there was nothing wrong in what he was doing.
Njapha, who was emotional and crying while recounting the events, told the court that at no stage had he indicated that he was interested in what Mhlongo was doing.
Mhlongo's lawyer, Nyiko Khupane, indicated that his client would deny the allegations and tell the court that Njapha demanded R10000 for sex, which Mhlongo was not prepared to pay. The case was postponed to May 5.
