Benin Football Federation (BFF) has named Belgian Patrick Aussems to help restructure the game in the country.

Benin Football Federation (BFF) has named Belgian Patrick Aussems to help restructure the game in the country.

BFF boss El Hadj Moucharaf Anjorin brought in Aussems, who will work as the technical director of the FA.

Anjorin is keen on reforming the game in the country by unearthing new talent for the various national teams.

"Football in Benin is stagnant, so we need modern structures to reverse that and we think Aussems can do the job," Anjorin told BBC Sport.

"We need new talented players for all the national teams so he will be involved in improving all areas of our game."

Aussems will also work at the reformation of the country's league and coaching.

"My priorities will be to detect and train young people, training of trainers among others," said Aussems.

"I acknowledge that this mission will not be easy, but I count on the necessary support of all in Benin football," he added. - BBC
