Joburg United lures 600 souls

More than 600 delegates are expected to attend a 2010 Fifa World Cup summit at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg on Saturday.

More than 600 delegates are expected to attend a 2010 Fifa World Cup summit at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg on Saturday.

It is organised by the City of Johannesburg's 2010 World Cup office, which is headed by Sibongile Mazibuko as its executive director.

Known as Joburg United, the summit will be a yearly event in the build-up to the World Cup. It is aimed at uniting the city and all stakeholders.

The City of Johannesburg has put aside R2,5 billion for the hosting of the World Cup to cater for various projects in the city and townships.
