Jomo Cosmos, who are staring relegation in the eye in the Absa Premiership, look set to advance to the quarterfinals of the Nedbank Cup at the expense of NFD campaigners Nathi Lions at a rescheduled 2.45pm kickoff clash at Orkney Stadium tomorrow.

Ezenkosi might be struggling in the league, but they will tame Lions.

Players such as Dikgang Mabalane and Nkosinathi Nhleko could ensure that Cosmos realise their goal of going through to the quarterfinal stage of the tournament.

Lions' boss, Nathi Maphumulo, is optimistic that they will fare well in this tournament. But it remains to be seen if his ambition will be enough against the much experienced Cosmos.

l Another rout might be on the cards when Amazulu take on Vasco da Gama in the last-16 phase of the tournament at Chatsworth Stadium in Durban, also tomorrow, at 3pm.

The battle-scarred AmaZulu are the hosts by default after their game was moved from Vygieskraal in Cape Town because of the unavailability of the venue. Usuthu go into tomorrow's match oozing buoyancy following their 14-0 win over Young Ones.
