The Limpopo sports fraternity is in mourning following the death of Lerato Seopa, who was an influential member of the provincial volleyball team.

Seopa died on Sunday at her grandparents' home in Zone 1, Seshego, after complaining of stomach pains.

Volleyball Limpopo organiser, Pontso Mashilwane, said: "We are all saddened by the passing on of Lerato, who was one of the most talented players.

"Lerato was in love with volleyball; she worked tirelessly for the development of the sport in Seshego and surrounding areas. She played for the provincial team for 10 years. We'll remember her for the commitment and dedication to volleyball."

Seopa, who also played for Seshego Spikers Volleyball Club, will be buried at Seshego Cemetery on Saturday. - Ramatsiyi Moholoa
