Sparse crowds at recent Bloemfontein Celtic games have sparked speculation that Siwelele are snubbing Phunya Selesele out of anger.

This after coach Khabo Zondo quit the club (amicably) only for the supporters to demand his return, which showed that they are fully behind their side.

On Zondo's return, Celtic lost 0-2 in an Absa Premiership fixture, were beaten 3-2 by Ikapa Sporting in an away Nedbank Cup match and suffered a 0-1 defeat at the hands of Santos also at home.

Lazzie Mogotsi, the newly elected supporters national chairman, however, insisted that there was no division among supporters over the latest state of affairs at Celtic.

"We are focusing on getting the team safely back to its rightful place.. We credit both those attending games and those not presently attending. We draw strength knowing that they are with the team in spirit. It should be taken into account that we react differently to situations.

"Some decided not to be physically at stadiums while others saw it necessary to be there to cheer on the boys.

"We have only played two home games after the return of coach Khabo Zondo. We cannot withdraw our support forever.

"It is in times like these when the loyalty and love of the team is needed. We are in this situation together as the supporters and management," he said.

Mogotsi said efforts are also made to help players by enlisting the services of a sport psychologist. Ikie Augousti, chief executive officer, has also introduced team-building camps for both players and the technical team.

"We have resolved not to finger anyone but work together. These measures are part of a holistic process."

He said a long-term plan would help avoid a repeat of the chaotic situations.

Mogotsi said they had, as the club, picked up positive aspects from the recent incident.

"There is a need to sustain this brand as a unit hence we have resolved to rally behind the club more than ever. We are appealing to supporters countrywide to support the club through thick and thin," concluded Mogotsi.
