'Injustice no more'

Never again should South Africa be characterised by racial discrimination and injustice, ANC Youth League (ANCYL) president Fikile Mbalula told Jewish pupils at King David High School in Johannesburg yesterday.

Never again should South Africa be characterised by racial discrimination and injustice, ANC Youth League (ANCYL) president Fikile Mbalula told Jewish pupils at King David High School in Johannesburg yesterday.

After his visit, Mbalula said he was "elated" and "over the moon" to see that the children had a firm commitment to their social responsibility in building a diverse nation.

"I think most of them are generally positive about this country," Mbalula said.

He said the event had been organised by the SRC, which was looking forward to working with the league to highlight human rights.

"The exceptional thing about that school is that it builds civic education and social responsibility without patronising them."

He said he was buoyed to hear pupils reciting and understanding the schools' pledge. - Sapa
