Taxi rank miniskirt issue not so pressing

Allow us to enter the fray about the Noord Street taxi rank's Nwabisa Ngcukana miniskirt issue. We would like to agree with taxi boss Sicelo Mabaso's position that our government has more pressing issues to attend to, rather than channelling their energies into this one. We don't condone what happened, but this issue is receiving unnecessary attention.

For starters, people are dying on our roads daily. We are going on Easter holidays and more people will be killed on the country's roads. But we have never heard suggestions that dangerous roads should be closed. People are losing jobs because of load shedding, but no threats of firing Eskom management, including responsible government officials.
