Former Comrades marathon winner Sipho Ngomane (Mr Price) on Saturday became the first runner to win the Sappi Elands Valley Marathon for the fourth successive time.
He clocked 2hrs: 21min: 31sec.
"I'm very happy with my performance and I'm working on remaining consistent," said Ngomane.
He said he was using the race to add to his mileage.
Samuel Makamo of Nelspruit Marathon Club, who is improving, gave Ngomane a tough time in the race and came second in time of 2:22min; 2.
Ntuthuko Maseko of Nedbak Club was third in 2:22min; 30sec.
Women's results :
Sara Mahlangu (Raiders) came first in 3:05;13, followed by Anita O'Brien (Harmony) who clocked 3:05;34.
Norma Crampton of the Nelspruit Marathon Club came third in 3:14:24. - Richard Nkosi
