The 113th Rand Easter Show opens next week on Good Friday, March 21, at Nasrec, south of Johannesburg.

This year's show "is packed with new and interesting activities for the whole family".

Communications manager for the event, Cebisa Mfenyane, said: "The Rand Show has adapted and changed over its 112 years of existence to constantly bring visitors an event that is current and reflective of South African society."

One of the key attractions at this year's show is the Disney Festival. The interactive display will include the Mickey Mouse Club House inflatable, Winnie the Pooh's 100 Acre Wood jumping castle, among other activities.

On March 30, there will be a gospel concert headed by multi-award winning Soweto Gospel Choir.

Tickets cost R55 for adults and R25 for children under 12. Senior citizens and children under two years enter for free.

The show ends two weeks later on April 6.
