A Meadowlands, Soweto, woman is living in fear after her jilted lover allegedly set her home alight because she had dumped him.
Now Tshepiso Mohlodi, 31, fears the worst. She said she ended her four-year relationship with Sonnyboy "Toaster" Masanabo, 34, in January. The two have a two-year-old son together.
Mohlodi said she dumped Masanabo because he had "impregnated two other women" when he has already paid R1000 ilobolo for her.
Mohlodi's house in Zone 9 was set on fire a week ago. Damaged property was still scattered in the yard yesterday. Mohlodi has opened a case of intimidation against Masanabo.
Police spokesman Captain Lindiwe Mbatha said no arrest had been made yet and the police were still investigating.
