Sixteen senior teams will take part in the yearly KwaMahlobo Easter Games that will be held at Meadowlands Zone 10 grounds from March 21 to 24.

The tournament will be played on a knockout basis with the final on March 24.

There will be some incentives for, among others, the top goal scorer and the player of the tournament. The two will each receive R500 and trophies.

A number of teams are registering for the event whose closing date is Saturday, and no club wants to be left behind.

The date for the draw has been set for Tuesday, March 19 at a venue still to be confirmed and only two officials per team will be allowed to attend.

The organisers said all teams that will be taking part in the tournament will receive playing kit from Altech Auto Page.

The entry fee is R1000 a team and the winner gets R10000, a soccer kit, a trophy and 22 gold medals. The second-placed team will get R4000, a soccer kit and 22 silver medals.

The winner will also qualify to play in the Cell C Champ of Champs next month. The Champ of Champs carries a first prize of R50 000 and it is only played by winning teams from these tournaments that are sponsored by Cell C.
