Last month Bulelani Ngcuka was elected as a leading member of a consortium which was bidding for the 30percent share in the cellular phone giant.

Alan Knott Craig, Vodacom's chief executive said: "Our BEE transaction is on track. It will be broad- based including our staff, the public and strategic partners who contribute meaningfully to our business. - Zweli Mokgata
