Bloemfontein Celtic's supporters are raving mad and want the immediate reinstatement of head coach Khabo Zondo, who was fired this week, failing which they want caretaker coaches Benjamin Reed and David Modise fired.
They were due to hold an urgent meeting last night to discuss the issue, which led to a near riot on Wednesday after Celtic's their 1-0 loss to Orlando Pirates at home.
Celtic officials, who were also expected to brief supporters last night, were locked in a management meeting and could not be reached for comment. Zondo was also unavailable to talk to Sowetan.
"The feeling among supporters is that Khabo should be brought back to the team," Botha Msila, one of Celtic's loyalists, said before their gathering.
"We took a decision as supporters last week that if Khabo is fired, the rest of the technical team should also go."
