Charities and ticket sellers are getting a bigger slice of the lottery income pie from new operator Gidani.
Sershan Naidoo, the board's media liaison manager, said Gidani is only pocketing 10percent of lotto takings comopared to 23percent that Uthingo retained to cover its operating costs.
Gidani took over the running of the lottery in October after an acrimonious legal battle between ousted operator Uthingo and the department of trade and industry halted lotto draws for several months.
