Meyong joined Belenenses in January and turned out for his new club in a league game against Naval later the same month. After losing the match Naval appealed to Fifa, pointing out that Meyong had already played for two clubs in Spain.
Fifa's rules stipulate that while a player may join three different sides in the same season, he is only eligible to compete for two. Meyong was handed a one-match ban and fined $1000. He joined Belenenses from Albacete. - BBC
