Julian Lap, 55, died in his Parktown North home. His son Julian, 16, and his wife, Marilyn Visser, were both in intensive care yesterday afternoon.
Police spokesman Captain Cynthia Magoai said two intruders had entered the family's house about 6.45pm on Sunday, shot all three family members and fled - apparently taking nothing with them.
"The father died at the scene and the woman and son were taken to hospital. The woman is apparently in a critical condition but the son is stable. Police are hunting for two suspects," she said. - Sapa
