Bidvest Wits coach Roger de Sa is a worried man.
Their goalless draw with SuperSport United in an Absa Premiership match at Milpark Stadium on Friday night has given log leaders Ajax Cape Town a clear six-point lead over his team.
Said de Sa: "This is a drawback because we now have to win all the remaining games and Ajax must lose one or two if we hope to challenge for the championships."
He put the blame on the team for throwing away two valuable points against United on home soil.
This game came just few days after the Clever Boys had raised the hopes of their supporters after they had registered a slender 3-2 win over United's neighbours, defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns, in Atteridgeville.
"We had the visitors under pressure, especially in the first period but squandered numerous golden chances of scoring that came our way,'' he added.
United's coach Gavin Hunt admitted both teams gave a scrappy performance on the night, much to the wrath of the crowd.
"The way we missed clear-cut chances in both halves, it was obvious the game would end in a draw,'' said Hunt.
