PSL strikers a sorry sight

I would like to share my thoughts on the quality of our strikers in the PSL.

I would like to share my thoughts on the quality of our strikers in the PSL.

If you look at chances that strikers missed on both sides in last weekend's game between Kaizer Chiefs and Jomo Cosmos (February 17), you will agree with me when I say that our strikers need improving in front of goal.

In my opinion our strikers are technically so poor we even think that our goalkeepers are world class.

I constantly see the likes of Mabhuti Khenyeza, Kaizer Motaung Jnr and Paulus Masehe wanting to blast the ball past the keeper instead of picking a far post and laying the ball in the net.

There is no proof that they receive coaching week in week out. I was under the impression our strikers watch Thierry Henry, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Samuel Eto'o more often than you and I do.

Fusi Motaung,

Craighall Park
