Moroka Swallows coach Ian Gorowa had to be escorted by police on Saturday afternoon when disgruntled Dube Birds supporters bayed for his blood after their team suffered their fourth successive loss in the second round of the Absa Premiership.

Swallows went down 0-1 to high-riding Lamontville Golden Arrows in a game marred by drama, controversy and missed chances at King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi.

"Gorowa has done more damage to the team than good. He knows nothing about football and he must go. We are sick and tired of his tactics that are not working. The least said about Eddie Lewis, the better. The man can harldy walk and he must resign," shouted angry supporters.

The controversy began the moment referee Deidre Mitchell blew her whistle to start the game. She made blunders, one after the other, and it cost Arrows dearly when she wrongfully booked Kagiso Dikgacoi at the beginning of the second half.

And when he made a vicious tackle on Tsweu Mokoro in the 73rd minute, Mitchell had to book him again and eventually show him a red card.

Mitchell was so pathetic that at one stage Gorowa left the field and went to the dressing room because he could no longer take the blunders from the lady in the middle of the park. He returned minutes later
